I Wanted To Break Your Heart..

I've been thinking of all the possible ways that I could break this to you
While carefully choosing the right words that'll hold nothing but the truth
And I'm adamant to steer clear of cliche phrases that are commonly overused
So that when it's stripped to the minimum, all that'll remain will be just me and you...

If you're wanting some old fashioned philosophy
Then I'll say that they say that honesty's the best policy
But, honestly, I'd like to beat around the bushes for a bit
Before I'm comfortable enough to come out and admit to it.
